Panelists talked about the Ebola outbreak in the Western Africa countries of Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Congo, including how the urban nature of the current outbreak made it more difficult to combat than previous outbreaks. Elizabeth Cameron said that the Ebola outbreak was not just one country’s fight because the world was interconnected. Other topics included vaccine development.

This was the opening panel of “The Ebola Crisis: Context, Systemic Challenges, Consequences,” a symposium held at Georgetown University Intercultural Center (ICC) Auditorium. close
