Vice President Dan Quayle appeared in the C-SPAN studio to take viewer calls on a variety of campaign issues. He began by pointing out that his name was misspelled by The New York Times in the notice that he was appearing on C-SPAN. He answered questions on the economy, his military service, and Governor Clinton’s foreign policy experience. In response to a question, he indicated that he had ever met Brett Kimberlin and had never smoked marijuana. In response to a viewer question, he responded, “... 1969, even Nixon didn’t support the war.” close
