Mike Josephson showed some of the tools of Wisconsin’s fur trade and talked about the impact fur trade had on Green Bay’s economy and culture. Mr. Josephson showed the items used by fur traders and explained how the French, British, and American fur trades developed in the area over a 200 year period.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2014 LCV Cities Tour” in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from September 20-26 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Time Warner Cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on BookTV on C-SPAN2. close
