Members of the Judicial Proceedings Panel discussed military statues about sexual assault to decide if they were clear or must be updated. The discussion included specific definitions such as what constitutes consent, bodily harm, mistakes of fact, and the definition of a sexual act.

“Deliberations on Article 120” was the first panel of a full-day public meeting of the Department of Defense’s Judicial Proceedings Panel in order to review the Uniform Code of Military Justice involving adult sexual assault and misconduct.
