Retired Brigadier General Steve Ritchie, called the “Last Flying Ace", told the story of an effort to rescue a comrade in the Vietnam War. The only Air Force "Ace” pilot from the Vietnam War, he was the recipient of the Air Force Cross. He was joined by his wife, a native of Romania, who spoke about how freedom can be taken away by oppressive governments as she shared the hardships she endured growing up under communist rule.
