Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Al Gore spoke to an enthusiastic crowd of students and supporters in Columbia, Missouri, at the University of Missouri. Sen. Gore, speaking in front of a band wearing “Clinton-Gore” shirts, took off his suit jacket in the Missouri sun while speaking on the choices facing Americans in the 1992 presidential election. He criticized the lack of vision in the Bush administration, and called for change in the nation’s policies in a number of areas including the economy and a national industrial policy. close
