Thomas Horrocks, author of Lincoln’s Campaign Biographies, talked about Lincoln’s 1864 campaign and how print media played a role in the presidential race. Candidates in the 1864 presidential election were Abraham Lincoln and General George McClellan, President Lincoln’s former commander of the Army of the Potomac.

His talk took place at symposium on the 1864 presidential election, hosted by the Lincoln Group of the District of Columbia. close
