Robert Browning gave a tour of the C-SPAN Video Archives, which has digitally archived more than 200,000 hours of public affairs programming. He spoke about the importance of making C-SPAN’s materials available to the public, and explained the process of digitizing C-SPAN’s programming. The archive created the C-SPAN Video Library, which won the Peabody Award in 2010. The archive is located in West Lafayette, Indiana.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2014 LCV Cities Tour” in Lafayette and West Lafayette, Indiana, from November 16-20 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Comcast cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on BookTV on C-SPAN2. close
