Kevin Kuhlman, of the National Federation of Independent Business, talked about about what his organization would like to see from the Republican-led 114th Congress. He talked about the implications of tax break extensions; tax policies of newly-elected members of the House and Senate and the possibility of tax reform in the next Congress; and the effects of the Affordable Care Act, President Obama’s executive order on immigration, and minimum wage changes on small business. A video clip was shown of President Obama speaking November 18, 2014, about the effect of immigration reform on the U.S. economy. Mr. Kuhlman responded to telephone calls and electronic communications, including a telephone line reserved for small business owners.

The program concluded with a video clip of U.S. Agency for International Development Administrator Rajiv Shah being interviewed November 20, 2014, for “Newsmakers” about the status of U.S. efforts to fight Ebola in Western Africa. close
