Laura McNeal talked about how police are trained to interact with youth, how young people perceive police officers in their communities, and what reforms are needed following the deaths of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Eric Garner in Staten Island, and Tamir Rice, a 12-year-old shot by Cleveland police. She responded to telephone calls on lines divided for those in law enforcement, those talking about their experiences with police, and all others.

The program concluded with a video clip from the C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) stop on their “2014 LCV Cities Tour” in Waco, Texas. close
