Kevin Patti gave a tour of the former Red Cross headquarters in Glen Echo, Maryland, and talked about the life and leadership of Clara Barton, who founded the American Red Cross in 1881. In 1897, Ms. Barton moved the headquarters to a house in Glen Echo, Maryland, and stocked it with supplies, volunteers, and ready cash in the event of a crisis. close
