Zeid Ra’ad Al-Hussein spoke to the media and responded to questions following his first official visit to the U.S. as the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. He was Jordan’s former ambassador to the U.S. He said he was filled with anger and disgust at the recent killings of hostages by *ISIL, including a Jordanian pilot, and added that it was a betrayal of Islamic tradition.
