Telephone lines were open for viewer comments on Senate Republicans separating into two bills funding for Department of Homeland Security (DHS) through the end of fiscal year 2015, and legislation to block President Obama’s executive actions on immigration. The Senate four times previously had tried and failed to end debate on a bill that would have both funded DHS and blocked the president’s executive action.

Lauren Hill was interviewed by phone about congressional efforts to reach an agreement on funding DHS through the end of fiscal year 2016. close
