Holocaust survivor Gerda Weissmann Klein talked about how the 1939 German invasion of Poland changed her life. She spoke about being sent to a Jewish ghetto with her family, their separation, her experiences in a Jewish transit camp, and being forced on a death march before her liberation in 1945.

This interview was conducted on October 11, 1990, by Linda Kuzmack and is part of the oral history collection at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C close
