Keeneland and the Economics of Horse Country

Vice President Vince Gabbert talked about the role the Keeneland horse racing facility has played in the growth of Kentucky’s horse business. Keeneland is a Thoroughbred horse racing facility that also supports the breeding and sale of horses. Mr. Gabbert talked about the history of Kenneland and how the facility has used its earnings from races to promote the Thoroughbred industry and contribute to Kentucky’s economy.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2015 LCV Cities Tour” in Lexington, Kentucky, from June 20-25 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Time Warner Cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed.
