Benjamin Bederson talked about working as a member of the Special Engineering Detachment on the Manhattan Project at Los Alamos, New Mexico, in the 1940s. Mr. Bederson worked on designing the bomb’s ignition switches. He also spoke about the atmosphere of secrecy at Los Alamos and about the scientists recruited to work there.

He was interviewed by Cindy Kelly for the Voices of the Manhattan Project on November 18, 2011, in New York City. close
