Seth Wheatley recalled living and working in the secret city of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, the site set up in 1942 to create a plutonium and uranium enrichment plant for the U.S. government in an attempt to build an atomic bomb. Mr. Wheatley spoke about safety regulations, race relations, and the need for secrecy.
