Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson talked about “Operation Rail Safe,” a nationwide initiative to enhance security at train stations on selected high volume travel days such as the Labor Day weekend. He was joined at a news conference in Washington D.C.'s Union Station by Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Administrator Peter Neffenger and Amtrak Chief of Police Polly Hanson. They responded to questions on topics including terrorist threats, the August 21, 2015, Paris train attack, and preparing for the pope’s visit. close
