Witnesses testified at a hearing on a National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) ruling that companies can be held responsible for labor violations committed by their contractors. Committee Chair Lamar Alexander (R-TN) had authored legislation in hopes of overturning the decision. Business owners from North Dakota and Texas argued that the decision would negatively affect their companies. close
