Governor Bill Clinton (D-Arkansas) spoke in the rotunda of the Arkansas state capitol to observe Veterans Day. Topics included the

veterans health care network and the POW/MIA issue. He pledged to

maintain a strong defensive force in the U.S. Armed Forces with the

latest technology in weaponry, and mentioned his proposals for

helping veterans affected by the reductions in the U.S. military. He

also said his administration would not normalize relations with

Vietnam until all information on missing U.S. servicemen was

released. close
