Members of the Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs who had been part of a delegation that spent time in Vietnam spoke to reporters about their investigations in Vietnam during their visit. Senator John Kerry said that while members of the delegation were convinced that the Vietnamese government was releasing an unprecedented amount of information to aid the investigation, their recent searches had not uncovered evidence of living POWs from the war. He also urged the U.S. to make some effort to match Vietnam’s willingness to open their archives for investigation to show the U.S. is serious about the search. close
