Governors from the National Governors Association shared the major accomplishments of their just completed meeting. Governor Roy Romer, D-CO, chairman of the National Governors Association, said the governors forged a closer relationship with the new president than it had since any president in history, and the governors approached some of the major problems facing Americans such as health care reform and reducing the federal deficit. close
