Senator Phil Gramm(R-TX), chairman of the Republican Senatorial Committee, spoke to an audience attending the Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) annual conference. The Senator spoke on current political issues, including the economic program of the Clinton administration. President Bill Clinton had introduced his economic program to the nation the previous evening in an address to a joint session of Congress. Senator Gramm criticized the new economic program, particularly specifics on increased taxes on Americans. Following his remarks the senator took questions from the audience. close
