Economists and correspondents discussed initiatives for balancing the federal budget in a forum sponsored by the Concord Coalition, a bipartisan coalition dedicated to restoring America’s economic vitality. The Concord Coalition was formed in 1992 by retiring Senator Warren Rudman and 1992 presidential candidate Paul Tsongas to focus attention on America’s financial problems.
