Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) responded to questions U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anontin Scalia posed in oral argument the previous day, saying that Justice Scalia made an “endorsement of racist theories.” Senator Reid said Justice Scalia’s remarks on affirmative action were “racist in application if not intent” and suggested “African-American students are somehow inherently intellectually inferior to other students.” Senator Reid also addressed remarks by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and spoke about the importance of diversity. close
