News headlines were read and phone lines, including a line reserved for law enforcement, were open for viewer calls on the topic that the man who shot a Philadelphia police officer January 7, 2016, had claimed loyalty to *ISIL. Video clips were shown of news conferences held the previous day by Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney and Police Commissioner Richard Ross and of the White House daily briefing.
