Dr. Janet Woodcock, director of the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, testified at a hearing on the accessibility of generic drugs. She talked about progress being made on reducing the drug application backlog, and efforts to expedite new generic drugs to market.

After the hearing adjourned, Dr. Woodcock spoke informally with reporters for several minutes. close
