To commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Joint Committee on Taxation, tax experts talked about the history of the committee over the past 50 years, including the legislative process, the distribution of tax rebates, and the changes in revenue laws. The committee is nonpartisan, made up of four members of the House Ways and Means Committee, and four members from the Senate Finance Committee. Its professional staff of economists, accountants and attorneys assist members with all aspects of tax legislation. close
