The American Criminal Justice System: Are We Doing it Right? was one of the second-prize middle school winners in C-SPAN Classroom’s StudentCam documentary contest. The video was produced by Matthew Weinsheimer and Preston Beatty, eighth graders at Eastern Middle School in Silver Spring, Maryland. The local cable company was Comcast.

C-SPAN Classroom’s StudentCam video documentary contest is an annual national competition in which middle and high school students produce a documentary on a specific theme. The 2016 theme was “Road to the White House,” with students answering the question, “What issues do you want the presidential candidates to discuss?” close
