Holocaust survivor Anna Grosz recalled her family’s experiences after Hungary annexed a portion of Romania that included their hometown, and then imposed anti-Semitic laws. The family was confined, along with other Jews, to a ghetto when Nazi Germany occupied Hungary. Later, they were transported to the Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland and forced to perform hard labor.
