Holocaust survivor Julius Menn described his experiences growing up in Poland and Palestine during the 1930s and 1940s. Ten year-old Julius Menn and his family were on an extended stay in Poland from Tel Aviv when the German army invaded in September 1939. Mr. Menn described how his family narrowly escaped east to Lithuania by traveling through forests and fields, dodging hunger and German dive-bombers. After a year in Lithuania, the family returned to Palestine in October 1940. close
