Representatives Cedric Richmond (D-LA), Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), Andre Carson (D-IN), and other members of the Congressional Black Caucus spoke to reporters about the police shootings of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Philando Castile in Falcon Heights, Minnesota. They called on House Republican leaders to join them in addressing deadly police shootings. Representative Richmond said incidents in which police shoot and kill unarmed black men had become too familiar and needed to stop. close
