House Democratic leaders unveiled “Stronger America: A New American Security Agenda,” their national security agenda “to secure our nation, to secure our future, and to secure our democracy,” before leaving for the party’s convention and summer recess. Representative Steve Israel (D-NY) criticized the Republican Party for the long break. The agenda items included the “No Fly, No Buy” gun legislation, Zika funding, and student loan debt relief.
