A bipartisan group of congressional leaders spoke to reporters on Capitol Hill in support of the North American Free Trade Agreement, legislation that would promote trade between the U.S., Mexico and Canada by lowering trade barriers between the three countries. The representatives in the news conference criticized Mr. Perot for objecting to the agreement, and advocated the agreement as being a spur for investment and economic growth for America. Rep. Crane also accused Mr. Perot of pandering to the fears of American workers in objecting to NAFTA. close
