House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD), Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) and Representative Anthony Brown (D-MD) held a town hall meeting with local government officials and constituents regarding the tax reform law. In addition, the Maryland congressional delegation members responded to reports that President Trump made disparaging comments about Haitian, Salvadoran, and African immigrants. Minority Whip Steny Hoyer stated, “President Trump’s comments are racist and shameful. They do not reflect our nation’s values, and the president must apologize.” The event was hosted by the Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation in Largo, Maryland. close
