National Security Adviser John Bolton met with Russian President Vladimir Putin and others in Moscow to discuss a range of issues that included Syria, Russian interference in the U.S. election, and President Trump’s decision to leave the 1987 Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty. Mr. Bolton said Russia’s violation of the treaty had run “long and deep” and was a major factor in the U.S. decision to leave. He also confirmed that Presidents Putin and Trump would meet in Paris on November 11th, 2018. close
