Afghan President Ashraf Ghani was the featured speaker at a discussion on the future of Afghanistan’s security and fight against the Taliban. Appearing via video link, he talked about the need for Afghanistan to take a greater role in its own security as well of that of the region as a whole and about the potential for peace talks with the Taliban militant group. President Ghani also took questions from the audience. Following his appearance, the Afghan finance minister also spoke and answered questions on many of the same topics. close
