Rev. King, daughter of slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr., gave the keynote address at the sixth annual National Youth Assembly sponsored by the Martin Luther King, Jr., Federal Holiday Commission. In her remarks, Rev. King spoke on methods to reduce hostility and violence between people, and methods for improving the outlook of youth in the African-American community. She brought volunteers from the audience up during her speech to demonstrate some of her methods, which follow from the non-violent principles of her father. close
