The Commission on Executive, Legislative and Judicial Salaries held their Quadrennial Salary Review. These reviews, carried out every four years following a Presidential election. The commission’s purpose is to review existing rates of pay, determining appropriate pay levels for members of the executive, legislative and judicial branches of government. This not only affects those at the top of the pay scales--president, senators and representative and supreme court justices, but those in positions of aides and support staffs, and for lower federal court judges. close
