President Bill Clinton and others spoke to a packed East Room crowd of members and supporters of the National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC). Behind the President were stacked boxes filled with 2.6 million petitions calling for national strategy to find a cure for breast cancer. After the speech, President Clinton spent several minutes shaking hands and talking with members of the NBCC. The NBCC promotes breast cancer awareness and medical research into the causes of breast cancer. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. close
