Two days after Republican Christine Whitman defeated incumbent Democratic Governor James Florio in New Jersey, the consultants from both sides analyzed the campaign. They focused on polling, negative advertising, and whether Whitman’s victory reflected negatively on the Clinton administration. The Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University sponsored the forum.
