Mr. Weyrich discussed the state of the conservative movement and stressed the need to define positions following the end of the Cold War. Following this speech, Mr. Miller discussed the lack of fiscal responsibility in the federal government and public perception of it as a serious problem. Mr. Meese spoke on crime and what the conservative movement can do for America. Continuing with this theme, Mr. Stephens discussed government responsibility for public safety. Mr. Derwinski discussed the collapse of the Soviet Republic and former President Gorbachev’s culpability. Concluding the forum, Mr. Moffitt and Mr. Balch discussed national health policy and the changes that the Clinton administration is attempting to implement. close
