The president, vice president, and thirteen U.S. governors briefed reporters on the effort to garner support for the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Governors Richards, Thompson, and Lowry spoke about the possible benefits for their states should the agreement pass. Following the president’s statement, he took a number of questions concerning NAFTA and North Korea’s decision not to comply with the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Agreement. close
