Vice President Al Gore introduced the President and, in doing so, made several substantive comments concerning NAFTA and his pending meeting with Mexican President Salinas. President Bill Clinton spoke about the important House vote on the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the leverage it would provide during the Asian-Pacific Economic Conference (APEC) forum in Seattle, WA. The President spoke on the South Lawn prior to his departure to the forum. The President did not take questions. close
