The House Science, Space, and Technology Subcommittee of the House Energy and Commerce Committee on the termination of the Superconducting Super Collider (SSC) in Waxahachie, Texas. The SSC operated over-budget and had been sighted as such by the Department of Energy’s Inspector General and the Office of General Accounting. The committee heard testimony from Energy Department staff, SSC staff, and the director of the Texas National Research Laboratory Commission. close
