Larry Greenfeld, Bureau of Justice Statistics director, discussed the measurement and quantification of crimes and what policy recommendations result from the information. The Bureau of Justice Statistics gathers information on the national scope of the crime. His office interviewed 42,000 victims and perpetrators of crime each year. Mr. Greenfeld also discussed trends in crimes committed in the United States. C-SPAN’s Paul Orgel moderated the conversation which included calls from viewers. close
