In Keene, New Hampshire, President Clinton visited with employees of the Markhem Corporation. The President congratulated the corporation for being on the cutting edge of technology and thanked company heads for supporting the Administration’s attempts to open more markets to American products through the North American Free Trade Agreement, the new worldwide trade agreement, and the outreach being conducted to Asia. The President covered several other topics including the U.S. deficit reduction plan, the effort to improve continuous training opportunities for American workers, and reform of the unemployment and health care systems. close
