Mr. Keegan, who has written twenty books about warfare, especially World War Two, talked about his recently released book, A History of Warfare. This book attempts to summarize the story of war over the past 40,000 years. He examines the origins and nature of warfare, the culture of both the primitive and modern warrior, and the development of weapons and defenses from the battle of Megiddo in 1469 B.C. to the nuclear age. This interview was aired in conjunction with C-SPAN’s Remembering D-Day special. close
