Minority staff members outlined the details of the minority health care reform plan during a markup hearing. Representative McDermott, himself a physician, spoke about his plan which is a single-payer plan controlled by the government. A large number of photographers were present due to continued speculation concerning the future of Ways and Means Chairman Rostenkowski. Representative Rostenkowski will likely be indicted for his participation in the House Post Office scandal three years ago. close
