Speaking from Utah Beach in Normandy France, President Clinton reflected on the sacrifices made by soldiers during the battle at Utah Beach, stressing that we must carry on the work of those who did not return and those who did. "We must turn the pain of loss into the power of redemption so that 50 or 100 or 1,000 years from now, those who bought our liberty with their lives will never be forgotten," said the President. Prior to the president’s address, Secretaries Brown and Christopher introduced the president. close
